The first entry of Halloween 2023, with Robbie as a cowboy. But not the first drawing I did, far from it. I only started working on this week after week 1 (you can tell by the smaller canvas sizes lol, turns out doing detailed fullbodies doesn't work good when the canvas is 940 x 1440.) The first drawing I did was actually Tulip in this week. No I don't know why I did cowboys, I just wanted to draw Tulip as a glittery cowboy. (Before I found out the history. Yes I found out a little bit after having done this set. The feeling was interesting.) Originally they weren't sets at all, instead individual drawings and Tulip ended up being the only one used. (some others were Allison and Acconium as Hatsune Miku, I did originally want to do a week based on music to use that drawing but it never happend. There was also basically a set where the premise was outfit swaps, the only ones I did was Inoxia and Alexander who swapped outfits.)
Of course he's pink and I paired him with Allison :-3 Unfortunately having posted them online kinda ruined them interecting with one another. Which is nice because here as they do!
He came out really cute, I still quite like this drawing, his irises are slightly too small though. Of course he's named after Bel Air from MALICE MIZER.
I distinctly remember wanting to give him a small cowboy hat. I also remember that the pink was hard to do, I guess he's one of those characters that make it hard to work, like Alex and Tulip. gee i really wonder where that comes up. (Tulip came up later with the pretty pink set and Alex comes up... soon... in 2024.)
One thing I hate about this year was me trying to make the characters their actual heights, this especially bothers me in week 4 where Wisteria and Inoxia ended up taking so little canvas space due to being so short, especially next to Alexander, Snowdrop and Alice. I know I ended up taking two approaches: the canvas stays the same but the characters are different heights, of which I hate; and the canvas changing based on the character, of which I hate slightly less.
Just hate how it looks on here, if you know how to build a website it'd look less like doo doo, I am aware.
