Wisteria Chapter 1

If my description of this comic wasn't confusing enough: the comic itself is a doozey. Basically, the first two pages were made with the rest but scrapped at the time when I posted it online, but now I'll add it back. Another doozey but not something you'll see here is just how the pages are titled because we have multiple of the same pages just different parts and for no aparent rhyme or reason. Lastly I rewrote this comic AS Wisteria and as salt in the wound to this terrible habit I had: I tended to do the story basically verbatim but with improved art and that's why I didn't get far with most of them, but basically I rewrote it but this is the original version, because I like it more. Funny, I know. Anyway onto the thing itself, god it's a little "cringe" so to speak, I feel a little embarassed reading it, yeah everything is so ungodly flawed and in maybe not the most charming way, other than the art I still find the art really charming but the writing and the text bubbles make me eject my brain from my skull just a bit. You however get to see my oc's back in the day. Snowdrop as an "uwu smol bean" Alice before she was green, Wisteria that is not Wisteria at all, and Inoxia being basically the same. Oh yeah, smug Tulip and Yandere Acconium. (sigh....) You also have Dahlia who's still their full sibling and not their half sister too. She remained similiar, she's just more timid?

I'm definitely very fond of this comic though, my complaints aside, I was a young kid and I have a lot of nostalgia around this comic, even if it is very clunky. I'll add captions because it's hard to read, with added punctuation.

WISTERIA: CHAPTER 1

Maid: "Miss Wisteria it's time to get up."
Maid: "..."

Maid: "Your fath...er..."
Wisteria: "I'll go get ready."
Maid: "S-see you later then, miss Wisteria."

Dahlia: "How long is she going to take!"
Dahlia: "It's been hours!"
Inoxia: "Dahlia, just be patient once in awhile."
Inoxia: "It wouldn't hurt."
Dahlia: "NO!"

Wisteria: "What's going on? Why are you shouting?"
Dahlia: "Inoxia is being mean!"
Inoxia: "This is stupid..."
Wisteria: "Okay then... Why are we here?"
Dahlia: "It'll be better to show."
Inoxia: "..."

Inoxia: "Pftt!"
Inoxia: "Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha."
Inoxia: "What just happened?"

I would say that is a fair question.

Wisteria: "Dahlia, could you tell me what's going on?"
Dahlia: "We're already here so there's no point."
Wisteria: "That makes... Sense..."
Wisteria: "Still I'd like to know."

Wisteria: "Dahlia!"
"Really..."
Inoxia: "Wisteria."

Inoxia: "Where is Dahlia?"
Wisteria: "She ran off just now."
Inoxia: "That's expected, I don't know why I asked. But..."
Inoxia: "Wisteria... Have you been reading the news?"

Wisteria: "What! There's no point besides news is boring!"
Wisteria: "Why?"

This was initially a nod to lore in this world, as this was the origins of the SweetSour death system, and I wanted to end it off more optimistically and I do still agree with Nox haha. I don't believe we exist for any reason, we have no reason for our existence, and in the end we are insignificant and our lives are a string of coincidences but I don't think that matters. We can find our own meanings and our own joys. I don't see how the lack of significance and purpose of our lives and our world, in any way takes away from that. Also I used to have the mega mega hots for Nox haha. He was a big crush of mine, he was also a lot of what I wanted to be, cool, mysterious, quiet, and a reader. Things I weren't and aren't (I'm cool tho.)

I am sad to say, Alice and Dottie used to be cops. I hate it, but maybe Verledis isn't corrupt. Who knows.

That's the end of Chapter 1! So here's the extra art I made. :-3 I think they're really cute so I like them. Also the new years one was not on new years I don't think. It was an in universe thing, if I recall.
